On the eve of January 1, 2001, Kay dreamt of a church that would bring light to a city that lived in darkness, ignorance and social depravity. This mandate was given to her that night and until this day we have seen many – those who society had previously written off, the rejects, the addicts – come through our doors, received the life-transforming teachings of the church and now are representing Christ in our communities, curing desert places in every sector and segment of life.
Ben and Kay focused on reaching out to the unchurched community, building relationships through small groups meeting throughout the city, organizing outreaches and campaigns (Living Your Dreams with Kay, Reposition Summit, and many others) that touched lives from the suburbs to the inner cities.
The life-giving message of the Gospel, the passion and joy of “Celebration Service” on Sundays, the humility of the pastors and the excellent culture of Firm Foundation brought growth in the church. They are saddled with the responsibility of “Making Men know the person and the power of the Holy Spirit by a definite experience and raising godly families and Leaders with lasting private and public success.”
Ben and Kay’s goal was, and is, to fully develop balanced world-class Christians wherever they find themselves in the marketplace. This was achieved by leading and coaching them through a process called the Firm Development Academy that produces people of good character and conduct.
More than 1,500 people attend the church and participate in the care centers. Firm Foundation offers counter-culture, contemporary, practical messages that are alive with energy and creativity, as well as excellent childcare, exciting children’s and youth ministries, and dynamic small groups.
In our relationship with God, our family, our friends, and our world… it’s where new heights begin. We invite you to worship with us this Sunday! In the meantime, you’ll find everything you need right here to get connected to Firm Foundation online resources.
You can use this site to listen or watch one of our weekend services, find information on our care centers, or read about what’s going on around the church. Enjoy, and please contact us if you have any questions. God bless you.
