Our Story
Benson and Kay Akhigbe are the Lead Pastors of Firm Foundation. A life development church with the responsibility of leadership development and family enrichment, based in Benin City.
Firm Foundation is a church that is passionate about those with no church backgrounds, who have not been in church for a long-time or hasn’t been in church at all.
Firm Foundation is with the mandate that people that walk in darkness have seen a great light; this mandate was given on December 16, 1998. She has her humble beginning as a fellowship and held her first public service with very few people in attendance in 2000 with the dawn of a new millennium, which was the beginning of the most exciting experience the church is currently experiencing. God has continued to expand Firm Foundation through the various prayer movements and evangelism & missions outreaches run by the church.
The leaders and coaches of Firm Foundation are saddled with the role of making people know the person and the power of the Holy Spirit by a definite experience, building healthy relationships and raising leaders for global transformation. In this life development church called Firm Foundation the pastor take the people through developmental stages of growth, it’s not like you come in, become a Christian and next day you’re a super saint. We accept people at different stages of growth and we have developed a process by which they go through developmental stages to be, to do and to have ministry and maturity.
